Brooklyn Beckham publicly celebrated his mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz’s 71st birthday, shortly before staying quiet on U.K. Mother’s Day amid his ongoing family drama.

“Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law,” Brooklyn, 27, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Saturday, March 14. “Love [you] so much and hope [you] had the most amazing day ❤️.”

Brooklyn also reposted his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham’s tribute to her mom.

“Happy birthday to my mom! The pure fact that I get to call you mom makes me truly, the luckiest ever,” Nicola, 31, wrote hours earlier on Saturday. “I’m so happy I got to spend your special day with you.”

She continued, “I love celebrating you — your light is so bright you make everything better in this world. I love you more than you will ever understand. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true!”

The next day, Mother’s Day was celebrated across the United Kingdom. Brooklyn’s family specifically honored his mom, Victoria Beckham.

“Happy Mother’s Day to the most amazing mummy,” Brooklyn’s dad, David Beckham, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, March 15, sharing a throwback picture of Victoria, 51, during one of her pregnancies. “You are an inspiration in all the ways a mum should be to our 4 amazing children. We love you so much and I’m so thankful for the family we have created. Have a special Mother’s Day because if there’s one person that deserves it, it’s you.”

Victoria reposted David’s tribute to her Instagram Stories, captioning her upload, “I love you.”

David, 50, and Victoria have been married since 1999, going on to welcome sons Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, as well as daughter Harper, 14.

Brooklyn, who is currently estranged from his parents and siblings, was the only Beckham offspring who didn’t send the former Spice Girl a public Mother’s Day message.

“Happy Mother’s Day to the best mum ever,” Harper wrote via her Stories. “Thank you for always being there for me, supporting me and putting up with me — even on my worst days. I don’t say it enough, but I’m really grateful for everything you do for me every single day. Love you so much and hope you have the best day because you deserve it.”

Cruz and Romeo also uploaded throwback family pics to their respective accounts with Romeo, adding, “Thank you for all you do, no one does it like you.” Victoria reposted each of her youngest kids’ messages, replying with an “I love you so much.”

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he said in part via a bombshell social media statement in January. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. … My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”

While David and Victoria did not publicly address Brooklyn’s statement, they did publicly post social media tributes for his 27th birthday earlier this month.

“Brooklyn ignored David’s attempt at getting his attention with that birthday post,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. “He thinks it’s just another way for them to save face with the public and that it did not feel meaningful. He had a lovely day celebrating with Nicola, and she made him feel special. He is not letting any of the nonsense bother him.”
