A man was hospitalized after a violent attack in Hunts Point early Sunday morning, according to police.

Authorities say the incident happened just before 5 a.m. in front of the McDonald’s at 875 Garrison Ave.

Investigators say a 46-year-old man was stabbed in the shoulder and leg following an argument that turned violent. A large stain believed to be blood could be seen on the wall outside the fast-food restaurant.

The area around the restaurant is largely industrial, with no nearby residential buildings. Early Sunday morning, the only people in the area appeared to be customers stopping for gas or food.

Workers at the McDonald’s told News 12 off camera that the confrontation began away from the McDonald’s and that the victim ran there seeking help.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

Police say no arrests have been made. Investigators are searching for a man last seen wearing a gray hoodie and gray pants. Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYPD.
