Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is being called out for a(nother) Instagram post — specifically one he made on Mother’s Day in the UK.

As you’re probably well aware, Brooklyn has been estranged from both his mother, Victoria, and his father, David Beckham for a while now. In January, he detailed the falling-out in an explosive six-part Instagram statement, accusing his famous parents of being “performative” for the media and prioritizing “Brand Beckham” over family.

“My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else,” he wrote. “Brand Beckham comes first. Family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.”

Brooklyn also accused his parents of “consistently” disrespecting his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and “trying endlessly” to break them up even before their 2022 wedding. He said he was left even more “uncomfortable” at the wedding when Victoria “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola, “which had been planned weeks in advance,” and danced “very inappropriately” on him.

“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” Brooklyn wrote. He also shared that when he and Nicola later renewed their vows, they did so to “create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”

While David and Victoria didn’t publicly respond to the post, a source later told People that they were left “horrified about everything.”

“David and Victoria believe time will heal this,” a second source said. “They know over time that Brooklyn will come back. They can’t really do anything until then,” adding that the family now speaks “only through mediators,” seemingly confirming 2025 reports that Brooklyn had sent his parents a legal letter asking that they contact him through lawyers.

Still, his family has continued trying to publicly make amends, with both David and Victoria sharing tributes to Brooklyn on Instagram earlier this month for his 27th birthday. David shared a collection of photos — including one of him, Victoria, and a young Brooklyn in a swimming pool — and wrote, “27 Today 🥺 Happy Birthday Bust 🤍 We love you x.”

Victoria shared the same post along with a black-and-white photo of her and Brooklyn as a toddler, captioning it, “Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn, I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Brooklyn didn’t publicly acknowledge either post, but he has continued to show love to the Peltz side of the family. Under an Instagram video of Nicola’s birthday surprise to him — which included pink donuts spelling out “Happy Birthday Brooklyn” — he left a sweet comment calling her his “baby girl.” He also shared an Instagram post on Sunday — which was Mother’s Day in the UK — shouting out Nicola’s mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, for her March 12 birthday.

Reposting a picture Nicola had shared of the three of them smiling together at what appeared to be Claudia’s birthday celebration, Brooklyn wrote, “Happy birthday to the best mother in law.”

While Brooklyn didn’t acknowledge Victoria publicly, she did receive a special tribute from David. He shared a throwback black-and-white picture of a pregnant Victoria and wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to the most amazing mummy….. You are an inspiration in all the ways a mum should be to our 4 amazing children.. We love you so much and I’m so thankful for the family we have created 🩷 Have a special Mother’s Day because if there’s one person that deserves it it’s you 🩷 I love you 🩷”Victoria commented, “I love you all so much.”
