The New York Knicks are looking to keep their momentum going on Sunday night in a matchup against a struggling Golden State Warriors team at Madison Square Garden.

Both sides are dealing with very different circumstances heading into the matchup.

The Knicks are in the midst of a two-game winning streak. Despite playing shorthanded lately, they’ve managed to improve over a short stretch without some key players such as Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Fortunately, they are going to get healthier on Sunday night.

As for the Warriors, they are dealing with the opposite situation. The Western Conference playoff hopefuls are on a four-game losing streak. As they’ve won just three of their last 10 games, the Warriors are dealing with a long list of injury concerns as well. They are in a tough spot heading into MSG.

The Knicks will start Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns against the Warriors.

Lineup alert: Knicks list starters as Brunson, Bridges, Hart, Anunoby, Towns on Sunday.

The Warriors will start Brandin Podziemski, Will Richard, Gui Santos, Malevy Leons, Quinten Post.

As mentioned above, the Knicks got healthier going into Sunday’s action. Hart has been dealing with knee soreness, which has kept him out of the lineup for the past two games.

After getting upgraded to probable early on, the Knicks officially activated Hart after he went through his pregame warmup. This season, Hart has appeared in 54 games for the Knicks. He is shooting 49% from the field and 37% from beyond the arc. The veteran is averaging 11.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game with the Knicks.

Towns missed the previous game for the Knicks, but his setback clearly wasn’t a long-term issue. The veteran center is back in the mix to play his 64th game of the season.

This year, Towns has been seeing the court for 31.3 minutes per game. He is posting averages of 20.0 points (49% FG, 37% 3PT), 11.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.

In addition to the injured starters, the Knicks will also have Jeremy Sochan, Tyler Kolek, Dillon Jones, and Ariel Hukporti available against the Warriors.

Sunday’s game will have a different lineup for Golden State, as their injury report is lengthy.

Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry have been out for an extended time. Their absence on Sunday is far from surprising. Seth Curry, Al Horford, and Kristaps Porzingis started the previous game, but they are out for the night with setbacks.

Draymond Green was a late scratch for the Warriors’ latest outing, and he remains out of the lineup for Golden State in New York. The team also ruled out Moses Moody and De’Anthony Melton. Quinten Post is the only player on the report to get cleared for action.

The Knicks and the Warriors will tip at 8 PM ET.
