Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham are doing date night their way.
Though the couple has spent the last few months in a public rift with Brooklyn’s parents David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, they seemed to put the family drama behind them as they stepped out for a rare Oscars date night on March 15.
The two attended Brooklyn’s godfather Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 34th annual Academy Awards viewing party in West Hollywood, Calif., walking the red carpet in coordinating black ensembles.
Nicola, 31, opted for a black, one-shoulder gown with tiny cutouts and lace for the star-studded event, while Brooklyn, 27, kept it traditional in a black suit. (For every star on the Oscars 2026 red carpet, see here.)
And though they appeared to be in great spirits, it’s been a rocky few months for the pair. Indeed, Brooklyn made headlines in January after alleging his parents—who also share Romeo Beckham, 23, Cruz Beckham, 21, and Harper Beckham, 14—attempted to drive a wedge between him and Nicola.

“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” he said in a Jan. 19 social media statement. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
The chef alleged that his parents have “controlled narratives in the press about our family” throughout his life and that his mom “danced very inappropriately” on him during his and Nicola’s wedding in 2022. He also claimed that his parents have been “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”

Though David and Victoria have stayed mostly quiet about Brooklyn’s claims, they did send their son some well wishes for his birthday in March.
“Happy birthday Brooklyn,” they wrote in an Instagram Story March 4, alongside a throwback photo of themselves with their son, “We love you so much.”
But despite the message, it does not seem like things have improved much for the family. In fact, hours before his Oscars outing with Nicola, Brooklyn seemingly shaded his mom by honoring his mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz in a birthday tribute on UK’s Mother’s Day.
“Happy birthday to the best mother in law x,” Brooklyn wrote on his Instagram Stories March 14, though Claudia’s birthday was two days earlier. “Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.”
