WAPPINGERS FALLS, New York – Marist Baseball takes the series against Manhattan Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes won by a score of 14-7 in the weekend finale to win their first series of the season.

The Red Foxes advance to 2-11 on the season and 2-1 in MAAC play.

The Red Foxes got on the board first, in the bottom of the third inning.
Manhattan responded in the top of the fourth with four runs to take the lead.
Marist wouldn’t let the runs go unanswered, scoring another run in the bottom of the fourth, making the score 4-2.
The Red Foxes take the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning, scoring nine runs to go up 11-4.
Lawrence drove in another run on an RBI single.
Nathan Lincoln with an RBI single driving in two runs.
AJ Brotz laid down a bunt and reached first safely while also driving in a run.
Luke Monico hit a two-run RBI single.
Noel Rivera draws a bases loaded walk to bring in a run
Kyle Pollack tacks on another two runs with an RBI single.
The Jaspers would score a run of their own in the top of the sixth, to make it 11-5.
Marist stayed hot scoring one run in the bottom of the sixth.
Monico got on the board again with a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
The Jaspers drove in another run in the top of the seventh to make it 12-6.
The Red Foxes scored another run in the bottom of the seventh.
Lincoln once again hit an RBI single to drive in a run.
Once again Manhattan responds with a run of their own in the top of the eighth.
In the bottom of the eighth, Marist would bring in another run to make it 14-7.
Lawrence brought in a run after getting hit by a pitch.
Marist finished things off in the ninth to win by a score of 14-7.
