NEW YORK (PIX11) — Children across New York City will be able to enjoy a three-day weekend starting Friday.

NYC Public Schools will be closed on March 20 in observance of Eid al-Fitr.

Students may be able to start the long weekend early, as parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for high schools, K-12, and 6-12 schools on Thursday. Students in these schools will be dismissed three hours early.

The next extended break arrives on April 2, as schools will be closed for spring recess.
