FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) — Two people are in critical condition after a four‑alarm fire caused a partial collapse at a three‑story apartment building in Queens on Monday, officials said.

Two firefighters fell during the response but were not seriously hurt, both were taken to the hospital for precautionary evaluation, according to fire officials.

The blaze engulfed a building at 132-03 Avery Ave. near College Point Boulevard in Flushing at 12:30 p.m., according to the FDNY.

The fire is on the first and second floors of the three-story apartment building, causing some of the structure to collapse, officials said.
