RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC softball weekly awards for the seventh week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Greenlee Wells garnered Player of the Week and Harding’s Brooklyn Gobble won Pitcher of the Week.

#theGAC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Greenlee Wells, SS, Oklahoma Baptist, Sr., Vian, Oklahoma

Wells hit .500 with seven walks as the Bison went 4-1, highlighted by their fourth-straight GAC series sweep. In a doubleheader against Cameron, she reached base seven times, hit a grand slam, scored four runs and drove in six runs. Against Henderson State, reached base five times in 10 plate appearances. She went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in the opener.

#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Brooklyn Gobble, RHP , Harding, So., Tryon, Oklahoma

Gobble appeared in all three of Harding’s wins against East Central. Across 16.0 innings of work, she held ECU to just three hits. She struck out 17 and walked only one. In the opener, she earned a 2.0-inning save. In game two – a 1-0 decision – she struck out five as part of a two-hit shutout. In the finale, she carried a no hitter for 5.2 innings and settled for a one-hit shutout.
