The Portland Trail Blazers built a lead to as many as 31 points and never trailed in a 114-95 win at Brooklyn on Monday night.
The Blazers saw seven players reach double digits in scoring, led by Deni Avdija and Toumani Camara with 18 points apiece, while Kris Murray added 14 off the bench on 6 of 7 (85.7%) shooting.
Portland scored the first 10 points of the game with Jerami Grant hitting a 3-pointer and adding a putback layup during that stretch. Scoot Henderson’s transition layup gave the Blazers a 20-point lead, not even 10 minutes into the game.
Portland (33-36) remains a half-game behind Golden State in the chase to host a play-in game.
“I feel like we’re still trying to figure it out and get back into the rhythm,” Avdija said. “I think we’re a special team, we just need to stay locked in and we’ll be all right.”
Portland continues its road swing at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Indiana.
