Bo Nix has a new No. 1 target in Denver.

The Broncos are acquiring Miami star receiver Jaylen Waddle for a 2026 first-round, third-round and fourth-round picks, according to ESPN.

Denver is also receiving a fourth-round pick in this year’s draft.

This is a massive addition for a Denver team that fell one game short of the Super Bowl, losing at home to the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game with Nix sidelined due to a fractured right ankle.

Waddle, 27, becomes the top playmaker for a Broncos team that already features veteran Courtland Sutton and intriguing young talents like Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant.

Sutton led the team with 74 catches for 1,017 yards and seven touchdowns last year and Franklin notched 709 receiving yards, but no other wideout topped 400 yards.

Waddle tallied 64 catches for 910 yards and six touchdowns last year on a middling Miami offense, and has shown he can be a top receiver for a strong unit.

However, he has yet to replicate his success from his first two seasons when he set career-highs in catches with 104 (2021) and receiving yards with 1,356 (2022).

Waddle has three more years left on the three-year, $84.75 million extension he signed before the 2024 season, and Denver will pay roughly $5 million of his 2026 salary, according to ESPN.

For Miami, this move further pushes the team into a rebuild.

After relying on the tandem of Waddle and Tyreek Hill for four seasons, Hill has since been released and Waddle now will suit up for a Super Bowl contender.

The Dolphins have a new coach in Jeff Hafley, new general manager in Jon-Eric Sullivan and a new quarterback in Malik Willis, and it seems they could be in for a long year.

Willis’ top targets are now veteran Tutu Atwell and Malik Washington, who will be entering his third season and has maxed at 317 receiving yards.

The 2027 Draft class is expected to loaded with stars, including Texas quarterback Arch Manning, and Miami may be willing to punt the upcoming season to find a franchise quarterback.

Miami now owns two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, including its own No. 11 selection.
