Comedian and actor Kevin James paid $17.2 million for a mansion in Boca Raton, The Real Deal has learned.
James, of “The King of Queens” fame, bought a six-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom home on Sabal Palm Drive in the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, according to a source.
A trust managed by Peter Ciregna, Marco and Maria Cervi-Capocci, and John Lombardi sold the home. The property previously traded for about $5 million in 2023.
James’ new home spans 8,685 square feet and includes five balconies, a home office with an attached club room, a temperature-controlled wine room, and a great room with a bar. It was completed last year by Primo Construction. The 0.3-acre property also includes a four-car garage with space for a golf cart, a gym with a sauna and a pool.
The price works out to $1,980 per square foot.
Jackie Feldman with One Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller. Douglas Elliman’s Jason Matouk represented the buyer.
Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club is Boca Raton’s most expensive neighborhood and the center of the city’s luxury sales. Last year, a waterfront mansion in Royal Palm traded hands for $31.5 million, one of the priciest in the neighborhood.
James, who played the titular “Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” has owned homes in South Florida before. In 2021, he paid $14 million for an oceanfront estate in Delray Beach. In 2016, he sold another oceanfront mansion nearby for $26 million.
The actor, whose legal name is Kevin Knipfing, also starred in or had roles in “Playdate,” “Hitch” and “Grown Ups.”
