Police are looking for a man they believe is responsible for a string of bank robberies across New York City — but investigators say he only walked away with just over $600.

The NYPD says 33-year-old Gustavo DeJesus Torres is wanted in connection with six incidents spanning Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx between March 13 and March 17.

According to police, Torres entered multiple banks and handed tellers a note demanding cash before fleeing on foot.

Investigators say he was only successful in three of the six attempts, getting away with approximately $320 in Queens, $265 in Brooklyn and just $20 in Harlem.

In the other three incidents, police say he did not obtain any money.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes Torres or has information about his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
