A trio of vandals hurled Molotov cocktails at a Staten Island home — but the homemade fire bombs failed to detonate, police said Thursday.
Surveillance video recovered by cops shows three men getting out of a Honda Accord, each with an improvised explosive in their hand, outside the single-family home in New Dorp about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Each man hurled a Molotov cocktail at the home on Roma Ave. near Ebbits St., cops said. Two devices smashed against the exterior walls while the third crashed through a window into the home, cops said.
None of the devices exploded. The three would-be fire bombers jumped back into the Honda and sped off.
Area detectives were checking surveillance video in an attempt to find out where the Honda sped off to.
