Demi Lovato is dressing up for New York City. The Los Angeles-based star touched down on the East Coast this week to promote a handful of new projects including her new cookbook, One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom With Food. And she brought a wardrobe full of leather with her.

Arriving at 92NY for a sit-down conversation with Eli Rallo about her book, Lovato layered a little leather number over a long white skirt. The outerwear, courtesy of Camilla and Marc, was designed in a croc-embossed charcoal-grey fabric with a water-resistant finish, making for a practical take on the classic leather jacket. It featured a little collar and raglan sleeves, while side panels contoured the body and a tie belt cinched the waist.

That same day, the artist switched things up with a leather-on-leather set. The focal point of the ensemble was, once again, the outerwear—but here, she turned to Zeynep Arçay for a lace-trimmed biker jacket. Pulled from the label’s Resort 2026 collection, the piece was constructed with a high neckline, fitted silhouette, and frilly white lace along the hem, balancing a sharper edge with feminine detailing. Rather than pair it with the miniskirt counterpart from the brand, Lovato added a long black leather skirt to the equation.

She carried a matching Acne Studios bag and added a pop of color with some burgundy heels.

For a final leather moment, the “Cool for the Summer” artist brought the rockstar energy to a special screening of her new movie, Tow. Joined by co-stars Rose Byrne, Dominic Sessa, and Simon Rex at Regal Union Square, Lovato paired a skintight Diesel jacket with a long pleated skirt. The red-and-black top was inspired by racing styles, with color-blocked detailing and a zip-up closure.

Tow, officially out on March 20, was based on the true story of Amanda Ogle, a homeless Seattle woman who fights to reclaim her life after a hefty tow bill.

Similarly, One Plate at a Time was inspired by Lovato’s fight to reclaim her own life after battling her eating disorder. Published on March 17, the project pairs 80 easy-to-follow recipes with personal anecdotes and beautiful photography—with the goal of emphasizing enjoyment, nourishment, and freedom over restriction.
