WASHINGTON (TNND) — New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife Ruma Duwaji praised Palestinian terrorists on different social media accounts as a young adult.
According to a review of Duwaji’s social media posts by The Washington Free Beacon, she praised Palestinian terrorist Leila Khaled on her old Tumblr account in 2017.
She quoted one of Khaled’s most famous statement on the social media website.
“If it does good for my cause, I’ll be happy to accept death,” the caption on the post reads, according to the newspaper.
Khaled participated in plane hijackings in 1969 and 1970.
Many of Duwaji’s accounts appear not to be active anymore. Most of the posts happened while she was in the Middle East. She is of Syrian descent, but spent a lot of her childhood in New Jersey.
Her family moved to Dubai in 2006.
In 2015, Duwaji praised Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, who participated in bombing an Israeli bus and other terrorist attacks.
She died when a bomb she was building exploded in her home on accident.
Duwaji posted a picture of Ghazaleh on Tumblr for International Women’s Day in 2015.
