The Mets played two games on Saturday and lost both. They first lost to another division rival, the Washington Nationals, 3-1 on the road, and then they lost 7-5 at home in a split-squad day. New York will try to bounce back today by starting David Peterson. The lefty went 9-6 with a 4.22 ERA in 2025 across 30 starts in his sixth season with New York.
