PELHAM, NY (March 23, 2026) — Two seniors at Pelham Memorial High School have been named National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, placing them among students nationwide eligible for Merit Scholarships.

The Pelham School District announced that Arman Brummett and Eloise McGibbon advanced to finalist standing after scoring among the highest in the state on last year’s PSAT/NMSQT and meeting academic standards required to move from semifinalist to finalist status.

The students are now among approximately 15,000 finalists across the country eligible to earn one of nearly 7,000 Merit Scholarships this year.

“Congratulations to Arman and Eloise on this incredible achievement,” said PMHS Principal Sean Llewellyn. “Earning this honor is a reflection of these students’ commitment to academics and demonstrates that our high school continues to achieve at the highest level. I also want to commend our PMHS teachers and staff, who are talented and dedicated, allowing all of our students to be successful in their pursuit of excellence.”
