NEW YORK (PIX11) — Sunday’s sunny afternoon turned to an evening of rain in New York and New Jersey.
Intense rainfall moved in from the west at around 11 p.m. on Sunday and showers are expected to last through the morning commute on Monday with waves of more concentrated rainfall.
NYC forecast and PIX11’s Weather Center
Long Island should get out of the rain by 9 a.m. as temperatures drop from the low 60s on Sunday to the mid-40s in the tri-state area.
Tuesday and Wednesday should get up over 50 degrees in and around New York City with sunny skies before some possible showers on Wednesday night and Thursday, acting as the warmest day of the week, approaching 70 degrees.
Potential thunderstorm systems could move into the area for Friday before the sun comes back out for the weekend, albeit with cooler air at around 45 degrees.
