Sources told CNN that officials found the flight attendant outside the plane, though reports did not disclose whether she was injured in the crash.
NEW YORK — A flight attendant on the Air Canada regional jet that collided with a truck at LaGuardia Airport was found outside the plane, still buckled into her seat, according to several reports.
Sources told CNN and multiple media outlets that Port Authority police found the woman, though reports did not disclose what sort of injuries she may have sustained in the crash.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey oversees airport operations.
The pilot and copilot were killed and more than 40 passengers and crew members were treated for their injuries after an Air Canada Express jet collided with a fire truck on the runway late Sunday night.
Two Port Authority employees who were traveling in the fire truck suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, said Kathryn Garcia, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
No other deaths were reported, but many of the injuries were considered serious, according to authorities.

The front end of the plane sustained the most damage from the crash, compressing the nose and cockpit.
The crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board with assistance from local and international agencies, including the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
Photos and videos from the scene showed severe damage to the front of the aircraft, with cables and debris hanging from a mangled cockpit. Nearby, a damaged emergency vehicle lay on its side.
In the moments before the crash, an air traffic controller could be heard on a radio transmission giving clearance to a vehicle to cross part of the tarmac, then trying to stop it.
“Stop, Truck 1. Stop,” the transmission says. The controller can then be heard frantically diverting an incoming aircraft from landing.
