They said it couldn’t be done, and yet — as of March 20, spring is officially here. The arrival of the new, blessed season heralds budding trees, warmer temps and (hopefully) no more massive snowstorms. It also means it’s time for Fulton Stall Market’s spring CSA, which offers an abundance of delectable local produce and goodies.
The 13-week farm share runs from March 26 to June 18, though you can sign up anytime for a prorated cost. Choose from more than a dozen share options from local farms and producers, including breads from Orwashers, veggies from Rogowski Farm, seafood from Catch of the Hamptons and American Pride Seafood, fresh pasta from Knoll Krest Farm and beef from Fat Apple Farm. You can also sign up for the flower share, which will net you a weekly bouquet of fresh-picked poppies, snapdragons, roses, lilacs and more from Rose Meadow Farm in East Patchogue and the New Jersey-based Luna Family Farms. It’s the perfect pick-me-up after a brutal, brutal winter.
