The New York Giants are bringing in defensive tackle Sam Roberts on a one-year deal.
Roberts, who will turn 28 next month, began his NFL career as a sixth-round pick (200th overall) in the 2022 NFL draft by the New England Patriots out of Division II’s Northwest Missouri State.
After two seasons with the Patriots, Roberts spent time on the Chicago Bears’ practice squad before moving on to Carolina with the Panthers. He played last season for the Atlanta Falcons.
The 6-foot-5, 295-pound Roberts has appeared in 20 NFL games with two starts. He has 26 total tackles and one sack in his career.
