Josh Doan finished off a feed from Noah Ostlund on a 2-on-1 to tie it 2-2 at 17:14.

Despite being outshot by Buffalo 9-3 in the second period, Anaheim scored twice to take a two-goal lead.

Sennecke moved the Ducks back in front 3-2 at 2:35. Dahlin backed off Sennecke as he drove down the left side, giving Sennecke room to cut to the front of the crease for a wrist shot.

Terry scored his first goal of the game to push it 4-2 at 15:40. He retrieved the puck along the wall in the offensive zone, cut through three Buffalo players on his way to the net, and scored with a backhand shot from the slot.

The Sabres cut it to 4-3 at 4:40 of the third period when Jack Quinn scored with a snap shot from the right circle off a rush.

Kreider shot went wide right on a breakaway at 8:31, and Lyon turned away Jansen Harkins on another breakaway attempt at 9:32.

The Sabres then tied it 4-4 at 10:05. Ryan McLeod won the puck off the face-off at the left dot and passed to Power, who scored bar down with a snap shot.

Benson buried the backhand dish from Dahlin into a wide open net to put the Sabres up 5-4 at 11:37.

However, Mikael Granlund tied it 5-5 with 1:44 left in regulation. Tuch was called for tripping with 2:34 left, and the Ducks pulled Husso for the two-man advantage. Kreider’s pass from below the goal line found Granlund above the right hash marks for a snap shot that beat Lyon over his glove.

“Lyon made some huge saves when we needed them,” Thompson said. “We were fortunate to get a point out of that one. Obviously, it would have been nice to get another one, but getting points on all four games of this road trip is not an easy thing to do.”
