Manhattan Associates has won the ABA100 Supply Chain Innovation Award at the Australian Business Awards for its Manhattan Active Warehouse Management product.

The software was recognised for its role in warehouse operations and its use of artificial intelligence in areas such as task management and demand response. It is part of the broader Manhattan Active Supply Chain suite.

The ABA100 Supply Chain Innovation Award recognises organisations for innovation in logistics, distribution and supply chain execution. In this case, judges cited Manhattan Active Warehouse Management for its ability to adapt to operational change, its configurable user experience and its continuous delivery model for regular updates.

The company says the cloud-native platform is designed to provide real-time visibility across inventory, labour, automation and storage environments. Recent releases have added more embedded intelligence and AI to support decision-making on warehouse floors, including task prioritisation and coordination across fulfilment networks.

These functions are aimed at businesses dealing with labour shortages, rising customer expectations and growing volumes of omnichannel orders. The software is intended to help maintain compliance and operational consistency while responding to changing supply chain conditions.

Award focus

The Australian Business Awards describes the ABA100 programme as recognising business excellence, innovation and leadership among organisations operating in the Australian market. The supply chain category focuses on measurable changes in logistics and execution.

Manhattan Associates says the recognition reflects its investment in cloud-based supply chain software and AI features for warehouse management. The company continues to develop products that bring together physical operations and digital commerce in a single system.

Raghav Sibal, Vice President, APAC, Manhattan Associates, said the award reflected the company’s product direction. “Winning the ABA100 Supply Chain Innovation Award is a strong validation of our continued investment in intelligent, cloud-first supply chain technology,” he said.

He added: “Manhattan Active Warehouse Management is designed to evolve alongside our customers’ operations, with AI-driven insights and continuous innovation that help organisations move faster, operate smarter and scale with confidence.”

One element of the platform is its architecture, which allows customers to adopt new software functions through updates rather than conventional upgrade cycles. This approach is intended to reduce disruption as customer requirements change over time.

Sibal said this was increasingly important as customers faced ongoing disruption. “Our customers are navigating constant change, from peak volatility to shifting consumer expectations. Having a platform that can continuously adapt and introduce new intelligence over time is now critical.”

Broader market

Warehouse management systems have become a growing focus for retailers, manufacturers and logistics groups as supply chains come under pressure from cost inflation, labour availability and rising delivery expectations. Software vendors have increasingly added AI tools and automation features as businesses seek tighter control over fulfilment and inventory flows.

Manhattan Associates operates in supply chain and omnichannel commerce software, with products that connect front-end sales functions with back-end fulfilment and logistics operations. Its offering includes cloud and on-premises systems used across stores, networks and fulfilment centres.

The latest award places its warehouse management product among technology offerings recognised in Australia for supply chain execution and logistics innovation.
