Police are searching for a bigoted brute who allegedly made anti-Muslim remarks to a 20-year-old woman before assaulting her on a Brooklyn train station platform last week.

According to law enforcement sources, the incident unfolded on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, at around 10:50 a.m., when the suspect approached a 20-year-old woman on the platform of the Manhattan-bound D train at the 9th Avenue subway station and began making anti-Islamic remarks.

After spewing the hateful rhetoric, the perpetrator grabbed the victim’s arms and violently threw her to the platform floor, then forcibly removed her phone, police said. The brute then slammed the phone on the ground, causing it to break, cops added.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading into parts unknown, before officers from the 66th Precinct and Transit District 34 arrived.

EMS also responded and treated the woman at the scene for minor injuries.

Police released surveillance photos and video of the suspect on March 24. He is seen in the video jumping the turnstile in a train station. He is described as having a light complexion and was last seen wearing a black-and-white jacket, dark-colored pants, and black shoes.

So far, there are no arrests, but the NYPD is investigating the incident as a hate crime.
