Atlas, a member association of Confindustria (Italian Confederation of Innovative and Technological Services) committed to the internationalization of Italian startups and innovative companies, announces the launch of the Transatlantic Innovation Hub, the first permanent Italian landing site in Manhattan dedicated to the entry and development of companies in the US market. Located at 417 Fifth Avenue, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the hub aims to transcend the model of temporary missions and offer Italian companies a permanent presence in the United States, the world’s leading venture capital market with over $170 billion invested in 2024 and home to one of the most dynamic startup ecosystems in the world.

The Transatlantic Innovation Hub will offer operational landing services, qualified lead generation, incorporation and compliance support in the United States, as well as access to financing tools dedicated to the start-up phase, thanks to an agreement with an EU-regulated platform. There are currently 11.788 registered innovative startups in Italy. In 2025, venture capital investments reached €1,488 billion (+32% compared to 2024), a significant growth, but still lagging behind the main European ecosystems. It’s no coincidence that five of Italy’s seven unicorns have completed funding rounds or expansion plans in the United States.

Simone Tarantino, appointed Managing Director, will lead the hub. With international experience in ecosystem building and strategic advisory, Tarantino will be responsible for developing relationships with American investors, accelerators, and corporations, and supporting Italian companies on their overseas growth journey. “The Transatlantic Innovation Hub is not a showcase, but an execution platform rooted in the New York ecosystem: here, connections become contracts and visibility turns into capital. Manhattan is one of the most competitive ecosystems in the world, where companies demonstrate their ability to compete on a global scale,” says Simone Tarantino. “Italian entrepreneurs possess talent and technological expertise, but often face difficulties accessing major markets due to a lack of supporting infrastructure. With this hub, we want to bridge that gap, supporting companies from their entry stage until they reach full international competitiveness,” says Tommaso D’Onofrio, President of Atlas.
