SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The ‘Great New York State Fair’ is adding another concert to their summer line up.
Grammy-winning R&B artist Ashanti will perform at the Suburban Park stage on Monday, August 31, at 8 p.m.
Ashanti rose to fame during the early 2000s with hits such as “Foolish” and “Baby.” She also appeared on the singles “What’s Luv?” by Fat Joe and “Always on Time” by Ja Rule.

“Ashanti helped define an era of R&B with songs that fans still love to sing along to today,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “Her catalog of hits and magnetic stage presence make her a fantastic addition to this year’s entertainment lineup!”
The Great New York State Fair runs from August 26 through Labor Day, September 7. Â Concert tickets also include the price of admission to the fair, which will go on last later this summer. Tickets are $8 for adults and admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.
The 2026 Chevrolet Music Series is expected to feature over 40 national recording acts. More acts will be announced over the coming months. Here’s what’s been announced so far:
