NEW YORK (PIX11) — Police are searching for an individual who allegedly went into a Manhattan store with a gun and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry.

On Sunday at 6:50 p.m., the suspect entered a store located at 253 Canal St.

The robber revealed that he had a gun and forced a 67-year-old man and woman to the ground, police said.

The suspect demanded jewelry from the store and ended up stealing approximately $200,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing, according to the NYPD.

The victims were not injured during the robbery.
