At its March meeting Thursday, the Jersey City Board of Education will hear a presentation on the Jersey City Public Schools’ preliminary 2026-2027 budget, which includes a 17% increase to the local tax levy. The board will also discuss the results of the school district’s most recent comprehensive financial audit, which had fewer findings than the previous year’s.
