BROOKLYN, NY — A 16-year-old boy was found shot inside a Brooklyn public housing complex Monday night, prompting a police search for the shooter.
Around 6 p.m., officers were called to a building at the NYCHA’s Sheepshead Bay Houses near Avenue X and Brown Street, where they found the teen unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
Emergency crews rushed him to South Brooklyn Health, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
