NEW YORK (WABC) — A man who has been out of jail for less than a year is accused of an attempted rape in Central Park.
Police say 30-year-old Lateef Caldwell attacked a 45-year-old woman near 109th Street and East Drive just before 6 p.m. Monday.
Three women scared him off and alerted police.
Caldwell is now charged with attempted rape and sexual abuse after serving time for a similar attack in 2023.
