9th Avenue is losing two more places to eat — and one of them marks the end of a popular New York brand.

Sergimmo Salumeria, the longtime Italian trattoria and specialty shop, closed a week ago. Now The Meatball Shop, at 798 9th Avenue on the corner of W53rd Street, is also on its way out. Staff told W42ST the restaurant will close by the end of the month, though it could be sooner — possibly as early as Thursday, but more likely Friday.
