America’s favorite pastime is back, and this season you can watch the action on NBC and Peacock.
The 2026 Major League Baseball season kicks off with Opening Day on Thursday, March 26. The action starts with none other than the New York Mets at Citi Field.
NBC and Peacock will carry weekly MLB games this season through the debut of “Sunday Night Baseball,” with a special doubleheader scheduled for Opening Day.
The Opening Day games between the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. New York Mets, and the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks will air live simultaneously on NBC and its streaming service, Peacock. The Pirates and the Mets start at 1:15 p.m. ET, followed by the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks at 8:30 p.m. ET.
The official launch of “Sunday Night Baseball” comes three days later on Sunday, March 29, at 7 p.m. ET with a matchup of American League division winners featuring the Cleveland Guardians and the Seattle Mariners.
The Yankees, meanwhile, take on the Giants in San Francisco at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday night. That will be available for viewing on Netflix.
