EAST HARLEM, NY — A two-alarm fire broke out early Wednesday morning in a deli in East Harlem, near the Upper East Side border, the FDNY said.
According to the FDNY, the fire started at 7:48 a.m. inside 2006 Second Ave. between East 103rd Street and East 104th Street.
The fire started on the bottom floor of a four-story apartment building and spread to the second and third floors, authorities said.
The second alarm for the fire came over at 8:02 a.m., and more than 140 firefighters and medics responded, getting the fire under control at 9:29 a.m., the FDNY said.
The FDNY said no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
