A Bronx man was charged with raping a “physically helpless” woman aboard his boat while it was docked at a Westchester County marina, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Carlton Bryan, 45, allegedly raped and sexually abused the woman in the Aug. 4, 2025 attack at the New Rochelle Municipal Marina, which only ended when the horrified victim woke up during the assault and fled the boat, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office said.

“Sexual activity without consent is a crime, one that is vigorously prosecuted by my office,” District Attorney Susan Cacace said in a statement.

“I am so proud of the victim in this case for promptly reporting the incident to law enforcement so we could begin a thorough investigation. We will continue to support her through all phases of this process.”

Prosecutors said the alleged early-morning rape took place on a boat registered to Bryan.

The DA’s office said the woman “was incapable of providing consent because she was physically helpless,” but did not specify if she was intoxicated or otherwise incapacitated.

The victim reported the incident to New Rochelle police, which launched a probe that led to Bryan’s arrest on Tuesday, prosecutors said.

Bryan pleaded not guilty at his arraignment before Westchester Judge Robert Prisco, who set bail at $5,000 cash or a $10,000 bond.

He posted bail and is due back in court on April 7.
