Police are on the hunt for a suspect who allegedly pummeled a man with a hammer at a construction site in Brooklyn last week.
According to law enforcement sources, the incident unfolded at a job site located inside a building at 1226 42nd St., in Borough Park, just after 4 p.m. on March 19, when two workers became engaged in a verbal dispute over tools.
Police were unable to provide further details on the argument, but the situation escalated to violence when the suspect, casually known to the victim, struck him over the head with a hammer. He then fled the scene on foot to parts unknown before officers from the 66th Precinct arrived.

The NYPD released a surveillance photo and video of the suspect, who remains at large. He is described as having a medium complexion and was last seen wearing a black hat, green hooded jacket, tan shirt and tan pants.

So far there have been no arrests, but the investigation remains ongoing.
