BELMONT, Bronx (WABC) — A five-alarm fire is burning through an apartment building in the Bronx.
The flames broke out just after 5:30 a.m. Thursday inside the building on East 184th Street in the Belmont section.

Fire quickly engulfed the top floor of the building. Flames could be seen shooting through the roof.
A section of the parapet fell to the ground while still on fire.

Residents were evacuated from the entire building. No injuries were immediately reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
