The 2026 baseball season is here, which means the return of stadium fare. Nowhere is the range of food options better than at Citi Field in Queens. The home base of the New York Mets has really leveled up its dining game in recent years, making it a perfect place to fuel up while rooting for the team. (But, also, RIP Shea Stadium.)

Mets fans can snack on plenty of old-school favorites like hot dogs, burgers, and popcorn, alongside food from familiar and new stands — many with New York roots. Famed former Mets player Mookie Wilson is setting up a permanent stand for his barbecue company, Legacy Catering. Other newcomers include New Jersey’s Puerto Rican food truck Eat in the Cave. Overall, Citi Field’s dining is overseen by food services company Aramark, led by chefs Jason Eksteroqicz and Paul Horowitz.

Citi Field is also bringing back its rotating food vendors out at the Taste of Queens area. This year’s initial lineup includes Jackson Heights neighborhood restaurant the Queensboro and NYC taco sensation Taqueria Ramirez. Five percent of the food truck sales will be donated to hunger relief charities.

The Mets’ first home game is on Thursday, March 26, against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Wok N’ Roll: The same Long Island team behind New York Panini runs this Chinese American casual restaurant. It had been known for those rainbow cookie rolls; those haven’t been available for a bit, but a staffer teases that they could be back this year. Until then, it’s offering the cookies-and-cream egg roll with Oreo cookie crumble. On the savory side, there’s the clam chowder egg roll with the New England-style seafood bisque. What to drink at Citi Field

The baseball stadium’s beer list is a long one, full of New York breweries like Brooklyn Brewery, Coney Island Brewing Company, and Montauk, along with Northeastern options such as Allagash and Dogfish Head, alongside domestic beers.

There are also a lot of other boozed-up beverages like hard seltzers and mixed drinks, like canned pickled spritzes by Spritz Society, plus an array of nonalcoholic drinks.
