Green was everyone’s favorite color on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, as the 265th St. Patrick’s Day Parade took over the bustling streets of New York City.
The festivities saw Astoria’s NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani walking alongside Cardinal Timothy Dolan and New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch. The trio smiled and waved to joyous onlookers who were feeling lucky enough to get a glimpse of the spirited action. Other famous faces spotted marching in this year’s parade included Attorney General Letitia James and Governor Kathy Hochul. The parade officially kicked off on 44th Street and Fifth Ave at 11 AM with the unmistakable sound of blaring bagpipes to set the mood just right for the day ahead. 150,000 participants made their way through brisk and gusty winds all the way to the Upper East Side until a little after 4 PM. Marchers also made a point to stop in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral to take in the significance behind the holiday, while celebrating the history and beauty of Ireland. Over two million spectators were on hand last week to take in all of the sights and sounds of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world.
