NEW YORK CITY — An airport hotel in New York City has been ranked among the world’s best, according to a new list.
The TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport was ranked No. 4 worldwide and No. 3 in North America by Skytrax as part of its World Airport Awards.
The hotel has operated in the repurposed TWA terminal at the airport since 2019. The TWA Flight Center was designed by architect Eero Saarinen in 1962.
The hotel features amenities like the Paris Café by Jean-Georges, rooftop infinity pool, observation deck, 24-7 fitness center and the Connie Cocktail Lounge, among others.
The Airport Hotel Awards are decided based on guest surveys which covered overall hotel experience, hotel staff and reception, room cleanliness, access to the airport from the hotel, food and value for money.
In first place was Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore followed by the Grand Hyatt at San Francisco International Airport and in third place was Fairmont Vancouver Airport in Canada.
