Two incredibly lucky women standing on the sidewalk miraculously survived when a yellow taxi veered out of control and smashed into them and through the storefront of a Manhattan bodega.
Chilling video caught the bloodcurdling March 14 accident when the runaway cab veered into them, tossing the gals onto the hood as the vehicle plowed through the storefront, sending glass shards and debris flying.

One woman ended up on the ground while the other was launched down the sidewalk stairs into a basement.
“I was eating right next door, two girls were walking and this cab lost control, hit the two girls,” a man named Anthony, who witnessed the shocking accident from a nearby café, told ABC 7. “One girl fell to the right of the cab, the other girl fell down through the basement. It was crazy.

“I was actually talking to the girl … in the basement on the other side of the taxi ’cause her friend said, ‘Have you seen my friend?’
“We tried calling her name and then we heard a little whisper, ‘I’m right here, I’m right here!’”

Brenna, who was a passenger in the cab when it suddenly swerved off the road onto the sidewalk, recalled to the outlet: “Everything was normal, and then all of the sudden, we hit the flower shop. We had no idea what happened and then we came out and saw someone was on the ground and we saw someone was under the car.”
The witness and the woman knocked to the sidewalk spoke with her friend who’d landed in the basement until help arrived to transport both gals and a third person to a hospital, where they are expected to recover, says the New York Fire Department.
