The latest rankings of the best places to live in 2026 from Travel + Leisure Magazine were recently released, and one unexpected town made it into the Top 10.
Cheektowaga was ranked as the 6th best place to live in 2026 and the best place in New York State. The writers of the article cited the low cost of living, a booming housing market, and plenty of things to do as the main reasons Cheektowaga landed high on the list.

Cheektowaga has high marks for its Youth and Recreational Services, which offer a variety of fun and affordable summer camps, parks, and other avenues for kids to play and explore.
