The Brooklyn Nets are generating some of the best odds ahead of the 2026 NBA Draft Lottery.

With March Madness wrapping up–and the 2026-2026 NBA season soon to follow–the Brooklyn Nets can really start dialing in on figuring out who their big acquisition will be come draft time.

This week, a potential Brooklyn pick, Caleb Wilson, took to Instagram to indirectly let his followers know he was leaving the University of North Carolina. The next destination? The NBA Draft.

The UNC freshman just had a 24-game run in the NCAA.

While seeing the court for 31.3 minutes per game, Wilson shot the ball at a 57.8% clip from the field. He attempted 1.1 threes per game, making 25.9% of them. Wilson averaged 19.8 points per game.

The freshman forward nearly averaged a double-double with 9.4 rebounds per game. He also produced 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.

His sample size was big enough to let NBA scouts know he’s worth a high pick. Unfortunately, Wilson didn’t get a chance to see his entire college run through with a tournament appearance.

Before Wilson’s Tar Heels made it to March Madness, he suffered a season-ending hand injury. Wilson missed the ACC and NCAA tournaments.

The young forward waited until his team wrapped up its tournament run before suggesting he was off to the big league.

The Nets are among the NBA’s lottery clubs.

Heading into Saturday’s slate of games, the Nets are 16-57, losing their last 10 games. They are one of three teams with a 14.0% chance of landing the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

While Wilson isn’t garnering No. 1 pick projections, some mock drafts have him going as high as the top 3, with most keeping him within the top 5 range. With the Nets holding a 52.1% chance of landing in the top 4, they are more than likely going to be in a position to draft Wilson if he’s their guy.

ESPN’s March 11 mock draft projected the Nets to pick up Wilson. While their chances of landing higher have increased since then, Wilson remains a name to keep an eye on, as the top-heavy draft pool could go in many different directions this season.
