The New York State Police in SP Williamson are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Hamilton Street in the Town of Williamson.
On March 27, 2026, at approximately 6:51 p.m., State Police Uniform Force (UF) and Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near 7637 Hamilton Street.
The investigation determined that a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup truck, operated by a 29-year-old male, was traveling northbound on Hamilton Street when the driver lost control while negotiating a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree head-on.
The 29-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
The Wayne County Coroner responded to the scene and ordered the decedent transported to Geneva General Hospital. An autopsy is pending.
The investigation remains ongoing.
