New York State Police have released the autopsy results from a death investigation in Rouses Point. The chief medical examiner performed an autopsy on Tyrone Biggs, 57, on Sunday morning. The cause of death was determined to be a severe hemorrhage resulting from a stab wound to the neck. The death was ruled a homicide. New York State Police responded to the Anchorage Motel in Rouses Point on Saturday, just before 2 a.m. They found Biggs deceased in his apartment. Investigators believe that Austin Lapier, 31, killed Biggs on Friday night. Lapier was taken into custody with assistance from the Northern Regional Special Response Team. He was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Lapier is being held without bail. According to the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, he’s scheduled to appear in court again on Thursday.
