New security screening procedures start Monday at Cohoes High School.
Students and visitors can expect to be screened through scanners when entering the building during school hours.
Backpacks and bags may be subject to further screening with handheld security wands.
Cohoes school officials say this is part of the district’s proactive, layered approach to school safety.
Other measures include a cell phone free environment, enhanced camera systems, a badge system and more security personnel.
More information can be found on the school’s website.
