EAST VILLAGE, N.Y. (PIX11) — Police are searching for four people in connection with an armed carjacking in the East Village.

A 51-year-old man was approached by four unidentified people while he was seated inside his vehicle in front of 50 Second Ave. on March 23 around 1:30 a.m., authorities said.

The suspects asked to be driven to a specific location, but the man denied their request, police said.

One of the individuals then allegedly pulled a gun and forcibly removed the man from his vehicle, according to the NYPD.

The four people drove away from the location in the man’s vehicle, authorities said.

No injuries were reported. Anyone with information should contact the police.
