STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — A New York City man is accused of producing and selling ghost guns for months, according to Staten Island District Attorney Michael McMahon.

Martin Steich allegedly made 3D printed firearms and sold eight ghost guns in Brooklyn and Staten Island between Dec. 10, 2025, and Feb. 25, 2026, according to McMahon.

Steich also allegedly sold 15 rapid-fire modification devices, known as “switches,” investigators said.

One of the guns was connected to at least eight shootings in Jersey City, according to a ballistics investigation.

During the arrest on Staten Island last Wednesday, Steich allegedly had a loaded AR-style collapsible pistol and an unloaded handgun in his vehicle, police said.

Five high-capacity magazines, five unfinished frames, a flashbang grenade, a silencer, a large amount of ammunition, and other gun parts were also found after a search warrant was executed at Steich’s apartment in Gravesend, Brooklyn.

“While Staten Island witnessed record lows in shootings and acts of gun violence last year, the threat posed by ghost guns and DIY machine guns has never been more serious,” said McMahon. “Untraceable and highly dangerous, the sole purpose of these weapons is to evade law enforcement and bypass gun safety laws and regulations.

If convicted, Streich could face up to 25 years in prison.
