2025 New York City Marathon schedule

The New York City Marathon has drawn over 55,000 participants, who will run through the five boroughs that make up the city. The race begins at Staten Island at 8:00am with men’s wheelchair races, with the elites set to start at 9:05am. The finishing line is in Central Park.

8:22 a.m.: Marathon Pushrim and Handcycle start

9:10 a.m.: Wave 1 start
9:45 a.m.: Wave 2 start
10:20 a.m.: Wave 3 start

How to watch the 2025 New York City Marathon
In the U.S., viewers can follow the race on ESPN2 and on the ESPN App. ESPN3 will provide live coverage in Spanish.
NBC 5 Chicago and Telemundo Chicago will provide live coverage in English and Spanish from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. (U.S. Central Time). In New York, the race will air on ABC7/WABC-TV.
