1. Mamdani draws 10,000 at Queens rally as early voting surges

Zohran Mamdani drew roughly 10,000 supporters to Forest Hills Stadium for the biggest rally of his mayoral campaign Sunday, joined by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Early voting turnout has already quadrupled compared to 2021, as Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa crisscross the city ahead of Election Day on Nov. 4.

2. Early voting draws more than 160,000 in opening weekend

More than 160,000 New Yorkers have already cast ballots during the first weekend of early voting — four times higher than the same point in 2021.

Brooklyn and Manhattan led the turnout, followed by Queens. The surge comes as Mamdani, Cuomo and Sliwa make their final pitches before Election Day on Nov. 4.

3. Brown water worries Harlem residents despite DEP assurances

Harlem residents say they’ve been dealing with brown, sediment-filled water for weeks, raising concerns about safety despite assurances from the city’s Department of Environmental Protection.

The DEP says tests confirm the water is safe and blames naturally occurring minerals in the Croton Reservoir system, but residents remain skeptical.
